I never pulled the car over to look at horses. I never was willing to give anyone my last bite. I didn't think I would be responsible for someone else's boogers. I never found rocks in the dryer. Well not as much. I never had the power to heal with a kiss, until my kids. I don't need mothers day to tell me I'm a mother, I bear these scars I see everyday. They are a constant reminder that my body was my children's home before this world was. They remind me I am strong even when I am afraid. They also remind me that I cannot have anymore babies cause you see that last scar on top was from a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis. It's weird knowing that the one thing that made me a mother I no longer carry. I also know it doesn't make me any less of a mother or woman having any of these surgeries. To any mother struggling with all the overwhelming feelings of motherhood and life in general..... YOU ARE A FUCKING GODDESS AND YOU ARE PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. I'm certain my kids don't think they are any less because I had them via c-section. I am certain I am still a mother just without a womb now. Happy mother's day to all the beautiful mommies in the world.
