Within the islands, many popular indoor plants grow naturally in the wilderness. I was in great awe when I stumbled across Heartleaf plants cascading up and down a few trees! They are a popular heart shaped leaf plant that can be kept indoors or in outdoors environment. During this hike, I saw many Spider Plant, Monstera deliciosa/Swiss cheese Plant, Bird of Paradise, Elephants Taro, and many more beautiful plants.

**Kulana'ahane Trail: The start of the trail. 🏔️**
The Kulana'ahane (Moanalua Valley Trail) is a long 9.2 mile hike with a hefty elevation gain of 2,880 ft, this trail also connects to the Haiku Stairs, the Stairway to Heaven! The path starts off muddy but eventually turns into old road and eventually a narrow wild trail. It is a very beautiful and easy terrain to walk. During this hike I explored many fun places for future photo and video shoots.

Pu'u Pia Trail: Journey to the Guava Patch. ✨
During my previous journey, a kind soul told me about a hiking trail that leads to a beautiful clearing and guava groove. Thus, I decided to explore and find this trail. It is located near Manoa, nearly 2 miles with a 500 ft elevation gain. The path is mainly, roots/mud till you reach the fern path. It is a steep incline but easy with abit of patience.

Resting Rock.
Half way point of Kuli’ou’ou Ridge ⛰️✨
Arriving at the large resting rock, I couldn’t stop myself from resting my bottom there. The heft incline has finally took its toll~ it was comforting to rest my body here. This rock is now my marker for my future return here. There is still alittle over 3 miles of upwards climbing but for this potato, it was time to return back down the path. This was one of the most exciting hikes I have attempted and I hope to return very soon to complete it. See you again, Kuli’ou’ou Ridge. Thank you for having me.
