Did you know that one of my training camps, I tore both of my quads while running sprints after a hard practice?
I couldn’t pull out of the fight, but I couldn’t run anymore, so I had to do all of my cardio and weight cut over jump rope! My legs would allow me to bounce but not stride.
I had to do 45 minutes twice a day with a 2 lb jump rope, if you’ve ever done this you know how hard it is. It was the only way I could let my thighs heal while still getting ready for the fight.
The silver lining is that now I can still go forever on a jump rope.
I mess up here and there but gets the job done ✔️

People are saying Ryan pretended to be insane, on substances and distracted to drop his odds for the fight so he could bet on himself to win, and he did, an additional 12 million!
If that’s true, that’s genius marketing and a whole new phase of fight hype/promotion. But there’s something telling me he’s not all right upstairs 🧠

Did you know that one of the most successful methods of weight cutting comes from over hydrating first? This is why you often see fighters with gallons of water during fight week
Sunday 1 gal purified water + salt
Monday 2 gal purified water + salt
Tuesday 2 gal purified water no salt
Wednesday 3 gal distilled water no salt
Thursday 1.5 gal distilled water no salt
Friday no water no food + sauna = make weight
I have lost 8-15lbs this way before, with very calculated diet strategy and manipulations as I go.

This fight camp and weight cut was intense, 30 lbs in 5 weeks!
During this camp, I filmed my Religion of Sports “Alpha and Omega”, documentary and I regret to say I was not always nice to the camera guy being all up in my workouts. 😅
One thing I’ve I learned in fight camp is that you can always apologize when it’s over, and if people truly support you, they will forgive you when you do 😂
I’d train in San Diego during the week, then fly home to Colorado for the weekends. It was extremely un-restful 🤣
